Camborne Cricket Club is situated just off the A30, in the former industrial heartland of the Camborne-Redruth area.
Local industries may have changed, but the Cricket Club still plays host to one of the most traditional and beautiful cricket grounds in Cornwall.
Steeped in history and nostalgia, Camborne, along with Penzance and Troon, were one of the big clubs that dominated Cornish cricket throughout the 1960's and 1970's.
The Club is going from strength to strength after a period of rebuilding and are proud to announce that taking over as Club Captain for season 2015, will be Liam Weeks. Liam's father David also takes over as Club President, as the club sees a raft of exciting changes in the management structure. Derek Head has stepped down as Chairman after many successful years at the helm, and is succeeded by Mark Richards. Alison Ivey takes over as Honorary Secretary.
The future's bright, the future's Camborne!
The Club who are an ECB Clubmark and Focus Club currently run four Saturday teams, a Ladies Team, an evening league team, as well as an active junior section with teams for U15's, U13's, U11's and U9's.
The Clubhouse is a clean and friendly environment where all are welcome to come along for a drink and a chat.
And finally, who can resist sitting in Sunny Corner on a fine summers day, watching a good game of cricket, whilst enjoying a cold beer or chilled glass of wine?!
Welcome to Camborne!
